I'm sure there are some but I don't know that there are many. San Francisco has a lot of different cultures.

No, it does not. I live near S.F. there are Afghans and others in Fremont, south of Oakland, but not in S.F. Where you find an Iranian market is in Santa Rosa, about 1 1/4 hrs. north of S.F. and possibly in Novato, so I assume there is an Iranian community. Los Angeles is very large and covers a vast territory. Most Iranians who came here in 1980 went to Beverly Hills, they were the business or elite class. I dont know how it is right now in L.A.

The Bay Area in general has a lot of Persians (they call themselves Persians). We have wonderful Persian stores and Persian restaurants.

There's a pretty active Iranian community in Berkeley. Not anywhere near as large as LA's, though.
