absolutely. you can look how you wish and still be a doctor.
but - the simple fact is people DO judge a book by its COVER!
I once had a ER doc that had tattoo sleeves and I thought to myself...I wonder how good he is? - I know it was wrong - but I still thought it.
You want your patients to have confidence in you. So...you really should look the part.
