You're going to have to look at the specs to see what it has on it. But 99% of new computers and laptops come with a Free Trial of Microsoft Office....the free trial is only good for 60 days after which you will have to either buy it or use something else. The software will lock down when the free trial ends. It does not, however, ever come on a new system (laptop or desktop) for free.

You'll be hard pressed to find any laptop that has a premium software package pre-installed unless you specifically pay for to be pre-installed. I believe the entirety of the MS Office suite is around 200 dollars. A waste of money if you ask me. Get LibreOffice, it's free.

Because of the peculiarities of Microsoft's licenses, you do NOT want to buy a PC with Office installed. When you buy Office and install it yourself, you own it and can move it to another computer if your computer dies. Not so with manufacturer installed versions. These may not be moved to another computer. If your computer dies the day after the warranty expires, Office dies with it. I would try working with the free LibreOffice suite. You can open Word docs, edit and save in doc or docx format among other formats. If you are unhappy with it, then consider purchasing MS Office.
