Certain songs do, it depends on what message they are giving out, like the song Asleep by the Smiths makes me feel really sad but it also makes me smile, I don't know why c:

Yes. Honestly I can not listen to a sad song WHEN i am feeling sad. I know a lot of people do, but If I have a bad day I will not even touch that song; Honestly If I hear a depressing song and I am already sad, it will just kill me so then I'd just sleep.

I dun think it does Personally sad songs just make me reflect things that happened to me in real life And sometimes it helps me to understand things :)

Some times its melody sways away the sadness. The listener when follows the sad songs, he/she starts crying. After crying ,it makes the heart feel lighter. So yes listening to sad songs is a good way to kick the depressions out of your life.

Honestly, it depends I guess. I'm in a pretty good mood now and I'm listening to a sad song. When I'm sad, I break into tears when I listen to an upbeat song. I think a sad song would help me when I'm down because sad songs are usually meant to express and let out a message from the artist about their life, so if you can connect to the story SOMEHOW, to me, it makes me feel better like I'm not the only one who is feeling that way :) I guess it depends on the situation

YES THEY DO...if you watch comedy you have light mood and feel happy....avoid sad songs if you want to remain happy.
