No, but if and when you buy a television for your room you will be asked for your address details so the authorities can check there is a license for the property. Providing you are not fussy there are plenty of televisions given away on Freecycle this time of the year as people upgrade onto the newer models. You will need an an aerial socket in your room as well.

No the TV licence your parents have cover all the TV's in their home uk

If your parents have a TV licence, that covers as many TVs in the house as you want.

No. Provided somebody at the property is paying the TV Licence fee, then you can have as many TVs as you like there. We have 2, and pay one fee.
