You have a UTI. Don't forget to drink some water. Your temptation might be to stop drinking altogether, but you need to keep your kidneys going so that the infection doesn't ascend from your urinary tract into your kidneys. Going more than six hours without urinating is a clear sign that you're not drinking enough. You will need prescription antibiotics to end the infection. Until then, a product called AZO Standard will help you with the discomfort. It is available without a prescription. It will not treat the infection, but the vague marketing claims might make you think it does. It will reduce the discomfort of the UTI until you can get it treated by a doctor. Azo will stain your underwear bright orange, so don't wear your good underwear.

Pain is your body’s way of telling you something is wrong, the more severe the pain is and the longer it goes on for indicates its degree of seriousness. You need to get down to your Doctor or the ER room at your local Hospital asap, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
