I think there are different groups of color they can't see. Like if someone can't see blue, depending on the hue it would be different shades of gray to someone who cant see color. I know a guy who cant see redd and blues. He memorized where certain reds (shades of reds) are.

Not just in black and white. There are actually several different kinds of color blindness and each one affects different groups of colors (like red-green or blue-yellow color blindness).and people with colorblind are can still see shapes, but the definition in colors is seen as shades of gray. For them, gray is a shadow, not a color.

Yes, a friend of mine is color blind and those are the only colors she see's. She wears a lot of black.
