Whether you belongs to theist or atheist or none of this, it is not matter with this universe. But you and me should lead life in between birth and death. You dont know about yourself before the birth and after the death. But you exactly know life in between the birth and death. How can you lead life without sun,air and water - is it possible? The same way how can you put your heart empty with out God. The heart which beating every second for you compulsorily to follow the commandment of the God. Like this the whole universe is functioning compulsorily. You wants to enjoy all the natures but at the same time you dont want to inspire the God. A cleaver man never emptied his heart before leaving this world without God. Finally... Something is better than nothing.

I have spoken to a few who do. Likewise, while many Japanese may say that they do not believe in a personal God they do believe that the spirits of their ancestors guides them. While I can acknowledge and understand the Japanese ancestor belief it, the belief of the others puzzle me. If they are acknowledging the belief in an after life then they are stating that the supernatural does exist, but about which they can no little to nothing unless the supernatural has "visited" our realm and given proof to the individual that it exists. This leaves the door wide open for a belief in God as a supernatural being.

I don't (and neither do some Jews) but what other people think is up to them. Atheism = "I don't believe in gods" That's ALL it means

Some do. I personally do not. FYI: The existence of a God and the existence of an afterlife are not necessarily tied together. An afterlife with no God can exist.

The two notions are not necessarily connected - no deities, and no afterlife. But atheists typically are realists, and there is no evidence for an afterlife.

There is no possibility to prove an afterlife doesn't exist. And I think there are atheists who do believe in an afterlife maybe.

Atheism is the rejection of the belief in a god. Now, let's cover some basic facts about the cans and can nots of belief as an atheist. Atheists can believe in the following: Afterlife, faeries, ghosts, psionics, magic, unicorns, giant transforming robots, aliens, placebo effects (see also extenze), trolls, goblins, ogres, elves, werewolves, vampires (even the sparkling ones) ectera. Atheists can not believe in: Gods and anti-gods, any of them.. Go ahead, just pick one out of the sky (get it?), an atheist does not believe in that one anymore than any other
