Faith is based on the best evidence available. We all have faith in something because we have found that something to be reliable. Superstition is based on something as well but many of the things superstition are based on have been found to be unreliable. Blind faith is a good example of superstition.

Faith implies a sense of loyalty and belonging. Faith is basically a statement that one will abide by certain rules, laws, and/or allegiance to a certain group. It does not explicitly imply a belief in the supernatural. Superstition, on the other hand, has a negative connotation associated with it. It explicitly believes in the supernatural and does not associate itself with a fixed set of values, belief system, or group.

I like beauty which includes looking at pretty things and I like representing myself as pretty which is probably hard to believe because I butcher my face and body with piercings and don't exactly wear pretty things. But I still enjoy the core complement of a cat call or being picked up by some random. I think it's more enjoyment and/or appreciation not exactly a high.

Superstition involves belief in things that cannot be explained and those beliefs are often expressed as faith. However, all faith is not necessarily baseless, you can also have faith in things that actually exist.

I have "faith" that others share my sense of self-preservation and will not run their red light. Therefore, I don't slow down as I approach green lights. That kind of faith may one day get me killed, but I still exercise it. But, it is not superstitious in the least. On the other hand, the religious have faith in superstitious foolishness.

"Superstition" is a habit or cultural idiosyncrasy that involves a ritual or ditty which has no religious or social basis. "Faith" is complete trust or confidence in someone or something based on experience or knowledge. Hence why atheists are laughed at for their faith in old men. Most who have spent their lives in ivory towers and know nothing but theory and conjecture about real life living.
