submandiular glands are saliva secreting glands. Situated under the angle of the mandible either sides. There are lot of lymph nodes in that vicinity. You can't decide of a lymph node by its size. It can be enlarge to a grater extent. they are usually hard, nodular & moveable structures. submandiular glands are fixed firm and even difficult to palpate and identify.
