My dad had a nickname for me but unfortunately that name is definitely NOT PC, especially in South Africa. Ironically the first part of that nickname also means " a subset of society who having read and understood the message of the Qu'ran rejected it". I'm anti-religion so I reject the Qu'ran.

You may not believe this, but it's completely true. All my family members have a nickname or nicknames. I had several growing up. They were completely unrelated to my actual name! I'm asian, so they were always like "sho-be" which means "little sister" and they changed as I became "big sister" and so on, lol... Actually, in our family, we rarely, if ever, call our relatives their names. They always have nicknames. We call our head of family (our grandma) mahwa. "Mahwa" doesn't mean anything, but it's cute, lol.
