OK, you will need to let it grow and as it does focus on keeping it trimmed straight across the center. Leave the corners alone. Try and allow the inside and out side edges to grown a little longer than the center or the middle of the nail edge. Hopefully this will permit the edges to grow out and away. It is wiser to leave the nail a little longer at the edges than the middle to discourage curling inwards of the edges - more importantly (weather permitting) try to avoid shoes/slippers and particularly tight footwear until the nail grows out and always trim your nails straight, never in a fashionable curve shape. Worse case - pack out the edges, (if curling in) with small piece of cotton wool to encourage outward growth, good luck.
