Trivex lenses have better optics than poly. They have a better abbe value and are more rigid. AR coating will make your vision clearer but is not as essential with Trivex as it is with higher index materials.

Here is a site that shows the abbe number for each material ANY lens is better than poly. http://www.starreloaders.com/edhall/abbevalues.html I've never heard complaints about Trivex. Any chromatic aberration is very very low. Anti-reflection isn't standard but always a good idea to get. It improves the performance of any lens. Anti glare and anti reflection is the same thing.

CR-39 is clearer than Trivex. CR-39, Trivex and Polycarbonate lenses:-- CR-39 has the highest clarity value of the three. Trivex is in the middle ... way better than Polycarbonate.@@CR39 lenses barely block any UV rays at all. Trivex and Polycarbonate lenses *naturally block* 100 percent of the sun’s UV rays without the need for special UV-blocking lens coatings.@@Trivex is thinner and lighter than CR39. Trivex is extremely shatter resistant, chemical resistant. If you want an AR coating on the Trivex lenses you have to pay for it.
