No . So why don' t You do it properly and find a Stud first and install it properly?

It all depends on how the plywood is secured and if it will hold the weight of the flat screen tv. l would test to with something heaver then the flat screen to see it will hold or get somebody who knows what they are doing. It can be one expensive mistake..

Genegee makes a good point about how well the ply is fixed now and that even though you might do a good job fastening the TV, but the ply might peel off the studs. You might be better off fixing a wooden plinth something like one of these http://www.displayplinths.co.uk/wpimages/wp0ab28922_05_06.jpg to a couple of studs then fix the TV to the plinth.
