strict insurance company, cancel you for that? Usually a new company will ask you if you had any accidents in the last 5 years, so you would have to say yes, and that would raise your rates too since it was your cars fault.

In taking out the new policy you would have answered the question about insurance ever being refused or cancelled in the past. That is a fact material to them pricing or even granting you insurance which has now changed so you have to tell them. You should not have had 2 policies on the same car in force at one time.

You are stuck - your sister has left you in deep trouble. You are legally obliged to tell your new insurer that the previous policy was cancelled. If you don't, and they find out, this one will be cancelled as well, and you will have been guilty of driving without insurance. Unfortunately, when you tell them it was cancelled, your premium will probably double.

Hi what a lovely sister you have she has dropped you in it big time. so what ever you do they have a database where they can find out these things. so i would suggest just pay up and put up with the extras premiums till it eventually gets wiped from the records in 5 years time. sorry but you can't escape this one.
