"going from front of transfer case" to WHERE? And WHY does it need to be rebuilt? Just guessing here, but I think you're asking about the drive shaft going to the front axle, and you have worn out Universal joints. And the answer is... YES! The parts you need are relatively inexpensive and easy to find.

Yes you can. If you have a double cardan drive shaft you will need 3 U-Joints and a ball kit that goes inside the middle of the double cardan on the transfer case side of the shaft. The parts don't cost that much around $30-$40 each. You don't rebuild the U-Joints like Dave said you replace them why would you waste 1/2 hour on each joint with a lathe all you will do is remove metal and make it weaker. You can replace all the U-Joints with new ones in less time then it will take to machine 1 on a lathe and then you still have to install it.
