No, the clutch is not adjustable on hydraulic systems. The clutch pedal should go all the way to the floor and start to engage within an inch of being fully depressed. The top 2 - 3" is considered play and needs to be there to keep the throw out (release) bearing from running all the time. If your clutch is stiff, it needs to be replaced. If it is making noises, it needs to be replaced. The clutch master cylinder, clutch, throw out bearing and pilot bearing should all be replaced when doing a clutch job. Parts are about $100 from places like Auto Zone and maybe twice that much at a Chevy dealer. Labor runs from $75/hr at independent ASE certified garages to $99/hr. at the Chevy dealer.
