Well, whenever I finished removing nail polish off my nails, my nails always had some acetone left on them. Sometimes I would bite my nails and i would taste the polish remover which was soo bitter than I thought twice before doing it again. So I would just dip them in nail polish remover every now and then to keep you from doing it

I had this problem! But don't worry, quitting is easier than you think. Wear a rubberband around your wrists. Everytime you catch yourself biting your nails, give yourself a little smack. That worked for me. Or paint your nails a beautiful pattern. CutePolish has some adorable patterns and they're so easy to do! You wouldn't want to bite those off! I recommend the second advice. If you don't want red lines on your wrist. If necessary use the rubber band. Good Luck!

Same problem. Try keeping your nails short,, and once you catch your self doing it try to stop and pull away I've heard of products that are like clear nail polish that have a bad taste, so if you try to bite you will most likely be stopped by the taste.. Orly no bite nail polish is one of those products and it's gotten good reviews

I just got over this c: I've bitten my nails as long as I can remember. Bad tasting polish doesn't help, got use to the taste or wouldn't let my tongue near it; didn't stop my teeth. Do a pretty nail design didn't help either, would flake off on one nail and then I'd pick the rest off. The only way I got over it was by settling myself by only bitting the tips of my nails, so it'd be a perfect curve as they grew c: Now I get to scared to bite some nails, in fear of tearing it off. I don't know if it'd work for you, but I do also keep them polished constantly still, so I can't as easily see if the curve isn't 'perfect'. Good luck!

i had the exact same thing- if you want to keep them growing so you can paint them when they're lovely and long, just think about all the posibilitys of having long nails and how groomed you will look. if not, simply grow them to a short, but an easily handled length. you can stop this by persuading yourself mentally, distracting your nail biting with a hobby,or nail-biting nail polish. just google that by the way hope i helped
