Communication is key and trust. If you want it to last don't treaty it like a high school relationship treat it like a real relationship in the outside world. Talk about the future outside of high school. Im getting married and I'm 19 so doesn't matter what your age is you can find true love.a few things that have kept my relationship strong are communication ,trust, no paybacks (he used his phone while you were talking with him don't use yours when he is trying to talk to yours instead tell him in its moment hey honey please put your phone away I'm trying to tell you something), always let each other know what makes you happy and what bugs you, if you get mad at him still be there for him instead of arguing wait till he calms down and you calm down and then talk for the mean time just hold his handif he loves you he will reflect and know you love him too and fighting is not worth it talking about it is better and lots of love of course lol...good luck!

It can last as long as you stay together, but chances are very high that this may not be the person you will be married to since your careers may take you to different places and you may end-up meeting different people. Both of you are also undergoing changes cause you are still growing up both physically and emotionally. You may end up seeing things differently from the way you see them now. However there are cases of child-hood sweethearts who ended up marrying each other.
