You can charge by height if you wish. Either way (age or height) there is going to be discrimination. You could argue there are kids that look older than they are, hence why some restaurants charge by height rather than age as it is easier to determine, without offence or arguments, a kid's height than their age.
Answer #3 | 24/03 2012 11:16
No. You could also argue that some children of the same age will eat more than others.
Answer #4 | 24/03 2012 11:48
No, its not discrimination. Actually its more fair. Parents can lie about their kids' age, but not their height. They aren't required to give a children's discount anyway, so be a big girl and be happy with what you get.

I dont know why but most chineses yet no other style of cooking does. Next they will be weighing on the way in and on the way out and charge you that way lol

no way age is the main issue
Answer #7 | 26/03 2012 16:22
Isn't charging by age discrimination also? An eight year old may eat more than a thirteen year old.
Answer #8 | 25/03 2012 13:54
It is not discrimination as most Asians restaurants judge that the older the kids get,the taller they get,but it is not the case for every children but that's how it goes.So everyone has to go along because parents would actually lie about their kids age if they were charging by age so they charge by height.
