Shouldnt be. Not sure if it is effective on under skin acne. One simple step that works to keep acne away. Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) face pads help keep acne away by scrubbing open clogged pores, oily residues and exfoliation. Feel a pimple coming just wet a pad, place it on the pimple and remove it when dry. Sit back and watch pimple disappear. Works on body acne too. These pads also help reduce skin hyperpigmentation (acne scars). Try it and see the difference.

I would not recommend putting Neosporin on your zits. Neosporin has a petroleum base which clogs the pores. In order for a skin infection like that to heal well, it needs to be able to drain and Neosporin blocks drainage. Try a topical 10% benzoyl peroxide persa-gel. Regular hydrogen peroxide on cotton is also a good toner after popping zits.

Neosporin isn't going to harm your skin. Although it could clog your pores more, so I wouldn't sleep with it on.
