To be honest I tried it with some weak speakers like yours I don't know about the problem but don't try connecting subs to any home theater because they make different sound waves

Yes, it's possible to make car audio equipment portable and operate it from a 12V battery. At least until the battery voltage drops too low for the equipment. You'll need to also consider the power for your source unit. A standard aftermarket (or stock) head unit would work. Or you could use an MP3 (or iPod) docking station and just wire it's output to your amp high level inputs. The docking station would probably be the best solution. The battery should be a "gel cell" or "SLA" (sealed lead acid), 12V. http://www.parts-express.com/power-sonic-ps-12180nb2-sealed-lead-acid-battery-12v-18ah--140-372 You'll also need a means to charge the battery. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Battery-Tender-Plus-021-0128-12V-Battery-Charger/15779498
