Yes. I did - my new home theater PC does not have a CD/DVD drive. All you need is the ISO for Windows 8 and a little program from Microsoft called the Windows 7 USB DVD download tool. Get it here: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool There are instructions on that page on how to use it. It doesn't matter if it's written for Win7, it works with Win8. When you purchase Windows 8, dowload the ISO file to another computer. Run the USB tool and it will ask you for the location of the ISO file. It will also need a blank 4GB USB thumb drive. If it's not blank, the tool wipes it clean. When it's complete, you now have a bootable USB Win8 drive.
