i live in fla , answer is no. also , when you file for the H .E , it doesnt take effect untill the next year after you file.

No. You can get it going forward, not backward.

No way at all would this be possible because you do first have to go to the local property tax office in your area and APPLY for your home stead exemption in order to find out if you will qualify for any amount at that time in your life. I don't know about Florida, but in Texas yes you can get reimbursed. I would suggest that you contact your county tax collector and ask them (instead of yahoo).
