Short answer NO! Loans are for citizens of the country. A student isn't considered a citizen so no loan (not even opening a bank account is possible).

You're not eligible for American government funding and the Greek government is pretty broke right now.

Foreign students cannot borrow in the country where they go to school. They are not legally resident - only temporary "guest" - and have no job, no employment history, no credit records, etc. You cannot work in the US as a foreign student. You cannot borrow in your own country since you intend to leave for an extended period. You have no job, no track record of employment, no credit history, and probably no assets. Your parents might be able to borrow, e.g. mortgage their home, & send you the money if they are employed, and have good credit history.

Not from the USA! I doubt if Greece is flush with cash for you either.
