It has to be done from the number that you want diverted. They call it, "Call Forwarding". Each phone company has their own code sequence to do this. You start with the special code followed by the number you want to ring when a call comes in, and that followed by the # sign probably. I use it around the house all the time. That way I don't have to run catch the phone when it rings. Wherever I am, and whatever I'm doing it then rings my cell phone. Some companies also offer a rollover, where they ring your cell phone after ringing the house 3 times first.
