You have to pay at checkout, either with a credit card, debit card, PayPal etc..

Your question is kinda confusing. If your order from Amazon, you need to enter a payment method, whether it be a gift card, debit card, or credit card. Amazon may put a pre-authorized hold on the payment amount, but won't actually charge till the merchandise ships. You won't have to pay cash at your door to get the package. Payment will be taken from whatever type card you put on the order form.

You are right. It doesn't make sense. Amazon charges debit card, credit card, gift card - whatever - when item ships. There is no paying when you get it the order. If there is not enough money on debit card, credit card, gift card - whatever - then order will not be shipped. Have no idea what you are talking about with " it says the order total, but usually there is no ammount there". How can it say the order total - but no amount (not ammount) there? Whatever you meant by that - bottom line is no, you won't pay for order upon delivery. It's paid first - then shipped.
