oil will tend to get cloudy from condensation, change the oil n filter then keep an eye on it.if u park it in the same place every day the see if there is coolant underneath,if the oil turns cloudy quickly then water is getting into it from somewhere else ok.

it is your water pump, a major fault of BMWs E46s. .Before replacing it, try this. 1. Service your coolant to the proper level. 2. Start the car and turn on the heat. Do not turn on the fan. Let idle for 10 minutes. Watch the temp gauge. Shut down the engine and let it cool down. Service coolant again to the proper level if required. 3. Repeat step number 2 and stop when coolant level is steady. 4. If you cant get the coolant to a steady level, you have a leak..
