You cannot and will not get entry to work in the American Agencies. It would not be a reason to be granted a visa. In the UK you can apply to work with some of the agencies or in other words become a civil servant. But it is not all like the television and a lot of it is very routine and boring. You will need to be a graduate with relevant degree from a good university. Networking is part of it. Or you can join the Police Force and work your way through the ranks to something more interested or take the graduate entry programme to move faster. Forensics and other subjects in the UK produce more graduates than there are jobs for. But you need a reality check and perhaps really think about what you are seeing on television as your perception of crime and resources is warped and your television viewing will not make a good interview topic. The link below relates to Medicine as a career and several other interesting options if you wade through the lot and look. Teaching is simple to get into but probably a bit tame for you.

It is nothing like it is on TV or movies especially the 2 shows they mention. And there is no stand alone CTU. FBI, CIA and all US Federal Law Enforcement and Intelligence agencies require US citizenship.

Absolute load of nonsense. These are TV programmes not real life. You will never work in the USA they recruit from their own people. Have you googled the M16 website, you will soon see there are no jobs such as a Field Agent. Most people who work for them are at their desks from 9 to 5pm. UK
