$4000 for a clutch replacement??? PROVE IT!! Also, a clutch "failing at only 85,000 miles," proves to me that you are horrible at driving a manual. Case in point, I have an original (European spec'd GTi) with 140,000 kilometers on it, and it still is on the original clutch. A Porsche 911 clutch replacement runs that amount, give or take, because the engine has to be dropped.

A used transmission replacement would have much cheaper no matter what a dealership told you. Not all Hyundai's , my Hyundai has been a wonderful trouble free car for most of it's life so far. I had the clutch done this summer on my 2001 Tiburon around 155,0000 miles, I would certainly purchase another Hyundai any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

$4000 for a clutch... I don't believe a word you said. You got taken and you know it. As far as what you said about what needed to be replaced... why don't you tell the real story.

Sure your information is accurate? Or do you just want to rant about how bad Hyundai is?
