I'm guessing more people have died due to religion than the lack of it. By the way, while communists may have been atheists, certainly not all atheists are communists.

This is not a question and is against the rules. It's not even written in a clear, coherent manner. No one "handed me a pamphlet". I object to Christians attempting to influence legislation, what is taught in our schools, what rights people have, on the basis of their religion. That is far worse than a mere "pamphlet". If you do not grasp that, you need to do considerably more intelligent thinking about the matter. I don't care what you believe and will defend to the death your right to believe it and to practice your faith as long as you keep it private and personal and do no harm. However, when Christians attempt to claim that their faith should determine laws and education and the rights (or lack thereof) of human beings who do not even share their religious views, then they are stepping beyond the boundaries of appropriate religious behavior and cannot expect no opposition.

"I feel as thought the Christians, at worst handed you a pamphlet or something..." i guess you turn a blind eye when "christians" try to legislate their beliefs into becoming law for everyone.

The main point that atheists try to make is not so much that you shouldn't believe in God, but - as @Greg says - you shouldn't try to make your beliefs be part of the law in whatever country you live in. Religion and government should be COMPLETELY separate.

You will not do something, thus you feel comfortable stating others will also not do it. You can also tell that the worst things atheists have experienced have been being handed a pamphlet while casually stating we might start genocides. Only the conceit of a theist. P.S. Look up the role the Catholic church had in the Rwanda genocide. The blacks indeed.

Well, within the same logic, no atheist is holding a gun to your head in order to make you convert. We don't even hand you the pamphlet.
