Your Q is not clear. If there is an alternative to work which provides easier survival People can adopt that, meaning work is secondary to people. If your statement relates to workplace your work is naturally more important to you than other people around. However if your colleague at workplace is intolerable and the situation is life threatening you may have to quit the job.

Answer #11 | 20/12 2013 04:37
"Work", as usually defined, cannot occur without people - so isn't the answer obvious. You could ask if the work done by a particular person transcends the importance or significance of that person and the answer, I think, would be yes. Louis Pasteur was an important person in the world of biology, but his creation of the concept of vaccine has saved (and continues to save) millions from death and harm so his work transcended his own existence. life, and work. It is also possible for a person's work to have a profound and lasting negative effect on mankind - look at what Rousseau and Marx achieved (both looking for the non-existent and non-achievable utopia, justifying killing millions in the process). As existence precedes consciousness logically, so the existence of people precedes work.
Answer #12 | 20/12 2013 06:20
As most, I have to answer people. People are valuable in and of themselves, aside and apart from the work that they do. They can produce work, which is also important, but they can also produce a great many other things. Ideas, emotions, and connections. And if you think about it on another level, people themselves are the ones seeking answers about such questions. WE are defining the importance of work, more I believe than the concept of work itself defines us. Work matters because people say that it matters.

Both are important as both are related to each other. Work are done by the people and for the people if we do not have proper relationship with the people then work should not run smoothly.
