No, no animals are. Dogs and cats seem to show affection but that is not entirely sure. Dog's see you as pack leader. Telling them what to do and you bring them food. Same as cats, they too love the fact that you are the signal of food. Reptiles are the same. They get used to you but they do not love you. With lots of handling as babies, they understand that you are not going to hurt them, but that is it.

No, they are reptiles. Wild ones can grow to be more than 100 lbs. and hide in trees. However, if you own one as a pet and interact with him/her regularly, the iggie should warm up to you (or not). ^_^

Reptiles, in general, don't have the cognitive capacity for affection. The grow to see us as a non-threat and react accordingly, but that is it.
