I fractured my ankle in August and was in a boot for 6 weeks, with a lace-up brace 3 weeks in and then when the 6 weeks was up. Yesterday, I slipped on ice and now have a grade 1 inversion ankle sprain. My doctor told me to continue physical therapy (I suggest you go, since you are a gymnast, it will strengthen your bones) for another month, and then I have my follow-up appointment. He said in about 2-4 weeks I can get back on the tennis courts. So to answer your question, I suggest 2-3 weeks. Feel better :)
