their are 16 oz's in a lb so that's 2 cups converted. problem is waste, shrinkage, absorbtion. when using mushrooms not everyone uses the stems and gills, the mushrooms naturally shrink when cooked, they are like sponges they absorb a LOT of liquid when cooking. I would roughly say it would make around a little less then 1 cup. really is no way to tell you just need to guess how much you will need.
