If you are under 18, how do you have "my property"? Are you the parent of the minor in this case? If so, your child is not liable even if he begged the guy to ride his ATV.

Another case for Judge Judy. I think the owner of the ATV is out of luck, especially if the damage was truly an accident.

OK, to start off with your conversation you had with this guy, does not make any sense at all. No one would believe what he said and you said prior to this accident. Since he gave you permission to drive the ATV, he also "loaned" out his liability to you, in other words, just like in an auto accident, if you are driving someone elses car, with their permission, then they cant go after you. Sounds like, you have not talked to your parents about this incident? If not, do so asap, especially sine guy hounding you. IF, you are under age 18 and a minor, your parents need to make a decision on how to handle this. Do they call the police, or, file a claim on their insurance, which most likely would deny, so that he could not legally go after you.
