Let the resultant be R. R^2 = P^2 + Q^2 + 2PQ cos (theta) = (350)^2 + (180)^2 + 2 (350) (180) cos (135°) = 65804.55 R = 256.52 newton Let R make an angle x with P. tan (x) = Q sin (theta) / (P + Q cos (theta)) = 180 sin (135°) / (350 + 180 cos (135°)) = 0.57 x = arctan (0.57) = 29.68°
