Do system recovery, uninstall unused or unrecognised programs. Stop unused programs that come on at start up. if your unsure of any running processes or programs Google search them to get more info. Finally install and run an antivirus software, there are loads of free antivirus software available online. Also it’s recommended that you have one unused login user account as administrator and all the other login user account as standard.

Have you deleted the temporary files, cookies and history and closed out the sites you have been to? If you have IE, you put your arrow on tools above and on the drop down click on internet options and the temporary IE files section comes up and check to see what is checked and click on delete. Then ok after they have been deleted. And if you go into it and look at the cookies, if your computer is still slow, you might find one that is called ad master and click on it and delete it. This will delete it until your computer is turned on again. This can be done only if the computer is still slow. The other cookies that's left should not be deleted because you need them.
