Large differences on 'body numbers' flag up keep clear signs. Oil pressure high can in few cases make seals leak though rare. Better off seeking another car.

Oil pressure would be higher on startup and drop some as the motor warmed up. Oil pressure will increase with RPM's. Thinking 60 might be a little high but do not know for sure. Thinking the oil pressure sending unit might be bad. Not being able to drive the car is not really good. Need to get a handle on how it shifts, handles, etc. Unless the body and interior are in really good shape, maybe has T-Tops, and the price is really low then I would consider not buying it.

Get your technician to check the "Real" reading by using a mechanical gauge hook directly to the engine and compare with the reading on the oil pressure gauge. If the reading is up to specification on the mechanical gauge 60Psi (Cold) and 40 Psi (Warm engine). The engine is fine and find out what cause the vehicle gauge to malfunction. Not so sure about your description on the vehicle gauge...
