If the previous owners were asked specific questions and lied or if you feel like they withheld information in the sellers disclosure, you may be able to sue them to make the repairs. This is why it is essential to get an inspection of them home done before signing the final papers. At this point I think all you can do is to contact an attorney to see what your options are.

If your inspector didnt catch it, or you signed off on it during/after the inspection there's nothing you can do. Any homes built before 1983 should be looked at as potentially having asbestos. If the tiles are loose and coming out whole, you're in luck. Otherwise you'll just want to encapsulate the old flooring with new flooring. Your local carpet store can fill you in on all of those details... Asbestos is only dangerous if it's air-born or swallowed.
