Lambda sensors can get sooted up and give a false indication. Take it down the motorway for a good blow out. This should burn off any deposits. If it doesn't ackle you will need a new sensor.

ok if the code is for catalyst efficiency and the cat was changed recently the i would suspect the down stream oxygen sensor wich is not a lambda sensor it is a standard zirconia sensor replace it and clear the code that shou;d fix the problem

Try to drive it with high revs for some time, then check if the light goes off. Most likely and sensor issue.
