Ask about the condition of the timing belt, If it hasn't been done it is about time.

It was a V6. Anyways, I've had the same vehicle in my driveway for nearly seven years now. What I can tell you is that the longevity of that car ultimately depends on how well it was taken care of. I've seen them go for several hundred thousand miles with minimal issues when taken care of, and I've seen them puking out oil and a slipping transmission at 120k miles. Point being, get it checked out by a mechanic before you just buy it, especially since it's 12 years old and has 150,000 miles. Take it to a shop and tell them you're thinking about buying it and for around 50 bucks they'll tell you what's up. If you can't spare the 50 bucks, why are even buying a car in the first place? Get what I mean? It will save you a lot of money in the long run, and try to bring them down to 2500-3000.

That motor needs a tune up and timing belt job every 60,000 miles. Ball park for both is $1,500. Better check the maintenance records!
