When you first start your car, the engine is cold, so if you turn your heat on as soon as you start it, it will be cold. The engine needs to warm up in order for you to have heat.

HUH???? You know heat doesn't come out until the ENGINE WARMS UP!!!!! The heat comes from the warm coolant, it usually takes about 10 minutes at least to warm an engine to the point the coolant changes to a warmer temp No, the car will blow out whatever temp air there is, it doesn't care what temp is outside but it wont blow out any warmer air til the coolant gets warmer
