Well if she didn't have lights on then it's a shame you can't prove it. If you could then it might cut down on your fault based on teh conditions you are describing. Anyway though yeah it's mostly bad luck from the sounds of it.

use this as lesson and adjust your driving accordingly in fog or bad weather you should take more care . as for hitting someone at the rear shows you did not leave enough gap to brake and in law will be found at fault .

You moved the car in such bad visibility you couldn't see a lamp post? Only yourself to blame. If you hit a stationary object and then blame the fog you're onto a loser. If you can't see you don't move the car. On the teenage girl incident, if she was coming from the right at a roundabout she had priority and you're at fault whatever argument you put forward. When entering a roundabout it's 100% YOUR responsibility to ensure it's safe to do so. If you hit her back end you MUST have been moving as she went past in front of you. You do have brakes? Driving is nothing to do with luck. Both of these things are entirely your own fault.
