For someone, somewhere, probably. For you, where you are, probably not. The price of car insurance is based on the age of the driver, not the age of the car. It is also based on where the driver lives. In some places, for drivers some ages, $1000 is actually too little. For other drivers, in other places, $190 could be right or too much.

If you are talking Collision, Fire, theft and Liability for someone under age 25 then NO that is not too much.

Rates depend on your age, location, driving history, credit report and level of coverage. Discounts may be offered for things like "good student," security system, short commute, multiple vehicles and having other policies (renter's, homeowner's, etc.) with the same company.

If you think it sounds like a lot, try getting quotes from other insurance companies (at least two more). Get them to quote you for the same coverage as the current policy. If all the quotes come back about the same, then you will know that you are paying the going market rate.

Not for someone under 25. It depends on your age and where you live and your driving record and other stuff. You can shop around and check.

It depends on several factors such as age, location and driving history. The best thing is to get free auto insurance quotes online. Try a site like QuoteAgents.com to save time and money.

Depends on your age, driving record, coverages selected, credit score and where you live. What, you think everyone pays the exact same amount? No. It doesn't work that way.
