Who ever your with and decided to have kids with should have a blood test done. Most people with this disease have a lot of pain. I know if two people with the sickle cell trait get together they can have a baby with sickle cell disease and the baby suffers a lot. If I had the full disease or the trait I wouldn't have kids with someone with scd. The only way I might marry someone with this is if my blood test came out negative.
