wear something smart -black smart trousers and a suitable blouse with a suitable jacket/jumper. You will also need to wear your hair up and wear the maximum of two earrings per ear. DO NOT wear acrylic nails, nail varnish or jewellery like rings, bracelets unless you need to because of religious or faith beliefs because of health and safety. You could take a diary/notebook with you so you can write down what happens each day and how you feel you did during a particular day. Ring the nursery up before your first day and ask them what you need to bring with you. If you unsure about what you need to do ask members of staff but the main things that you should be able to do is play with the children, do activities and read stories with the children, get the children to sleep, bottle feed, feed children at mealtimes and change nappies. Ask the manager, your supervisor or the person in charge of the room you're in about what you can do there as one nursery can treat people of work experience differently to another nursery. One thing that is important is communication between you and the members of staff because you need to be a team player and also you will need to follow the nursery's policies and procedures. Ask to see the policies and procedures on your first day. Hope this helps and good luck with the experience x
