Hi this operating system is designed for modern 64 bit processors so it would struggle at best on a 32 bit single processor chip/

your bios sounds like it is NOT UEFI. when you change a battery you MUST enter the BIOS and LOAD Defaults and SAVE the settings. if the CMOS still gives an error , you fitted the battery incorrectly, or the battery is bad, or you have forgotten to move the jumper back. please check system requirements http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/sy stem-requirements http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows -8/what-is-pae-nx-sse2
