I hope not. The Elk in Yellowstone Park outwitted and out run the wolf to extinction which is evolutionary. It probably took thousands maybe millions of years for this natural extinction to take place. But meddling man worked out the re introducing a new breed of wolf would bring back the beaver, the dams, the fish etc etc. So man turned the evolutionary clock back lets say a million years and the Elk had to start all over again. Yes we got the beaver back and the fish and so on and the Elk is again the main prey of the wolf. What will be the wolves`s main prey in Wales? It will be livestock and will be killed off again. If the wolf has become extinct, wherever, so be it, it fits Darwin`s Natural Selection Theory. Re introducing it is not natural and there will be a price to pay for such foolishness.
