Polyester is a man made fabric and as such it does not shrink ,it is added to cotton to stop a lot of shrinkage in the cotton. Your sweater may shrink a little but not a whole size.I wouldn't advise you to tumble dry a sweater ..................

If you wash it in cold water and let it drip dry, it will retain its originality. Otherwise, it will loose its sheen and form. Cheers!

Maybe a little bit. I would hang to dry if you don't want it shrinking.

Yes, if you wash and dry leather, it shrinks. The reason cows don't shrink when they get wet is because there is bloodflow to the skin to keep it elastic.
